COURSE OBJECTIVES

This course is based on a college course I teach. It is a semester long course that teaches the students how to learn to condition themselves for whatever activities they may choose to do. The correspondence course assignments provide the group instructor and personal trainer with some valuable tools to design sport specific routines for their students. After completing this course you will be able to:

  1. Analyze the movement requirements of physical activities and sports in terms of aerobic, anaerobic, strength, and flexibility, as well as special skills.
  2. Design and teach workouts that will help condition students for sports.
  3. Write and lead visualization sessions that help train the exerciser mentally for peak performance in their sport participation.

This correspondence course has been approved for 1.3 ACE CECs.
