ASSIGNMENTS

There are four assignments and a final exam for Injuries & Active People continuing education course. If you have ordered this course and been given a student ID number you may begin submitting your assignments. As you do each assignment, submit it on the Assignment Form. Please fill in all the information requested. When you have completed the four assignments, go to the Exam Page and take the final exam. If you want to print out this assignment page, please do so. Assignment #1

Read the manual Injuries and Active People. Write a short summary about the most interesting ideas you learned.

In Chapter Two the concepts of injury recovery are highlighted in bold faced type. Base this assignment on those concepts.

Use the Case Studies in Chapter Three for the following written report. Select four (4) Case Studies to write about, covering the following topics.

Be "injured" for four hours. Restrict your leg or arm movement, wear an eye patch, or attach springed clothespins to your abdomen. Try various daily tasks and exercise movements. Write a report on the following:

Assignment #4

Discuss the various Mind/Body and Fear Reduction techniques in Chapter 2 with several students or clients. Ask them which techniques they would feel comfortable using with a recovery exercise routine. Determine how you would include these techniques in either a group class or private training session. Try at least 3 techniques with students or a client and ask for their feedback and reactions. Write a report on your session with the students or client.
